About Notifex
The pager and decision inbox for your AI agents — and the team behind it.
What Notifex is
Notifex is a human-in-the-loop notification bridge for AI agents. Any MCP-capable agent — Claude Code, a custom agent, an ops or support workflow — connects with a single configuration entry and gets two tools: send a message (a push notification, fire-and-forget) or ask a question (a call that blocks until a human answers). Questions push to everyone in a project through the Notifex iPhone app; the first answer resolves the agent's call, and follow-up questions continue the same conversation thread.
Who it's for
Notifex is built for people whose agents run without them watching: the solo developer who kicks off a coding agent and walks away, the small team running agents for deploys, ops, and support triage, and the companies shipping agent products that need a dependable way to put a human in the loop. If your agent has ever guessed at a decision it should have asked about — or finished an hour ago and nobody noticed — that's the gap Notifex fills.
Why we built it
Agents keep hitting the same wall: a decision, an approval, a piece of missing context, or simply "I'm done, come look." Today that feedback loop is improvised — a prompt in a terminal nobody is watching, a Slack bot that costs a week of integration work per agent, or the agent quietly guessing and hoping. None of those reach you when you're away from your desk, and none of them let the agent wait for a real answer.
So we built the round trip, not just the ping. Notifex holds the agent's call open while the question sits on your phone, then hands the answer straight back to it. And because agents rarely work alone, questions are scoped to a project: everyone on the team is notified, whoever is free answers first, and follow-up rounds thread to that person so a multi-step decision reads like one conversation instead of a pile of disconnected pings.
The other half of the design is that it takes no work to adopt. Notifex is a remote MCP server: a URL and a project-scoped API key in your agent's config, with no package to install and no code to write. Keys belong to exactly one project and can be revoked at any time.
