This Privacy Policy explains how Notifex ("Notifex", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Notifex iPhone app, the web dashboard, the Notifex MCP server, and the website at notifexapp.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Summary

• We keep data collection to what the Service needs to work: delivering your agents' notifications and returning your answers.
• The notifications, questions, and answers that pass through Notifex are stored so they can be delivered, answered, and shown in your project's history.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your notification content to train AI models.
• You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details. Your email address, display name, optional profile photo, and authentication identifiers (including sign-in details from Apple or Google if you use those providers).
• Project data. The projects you create or join, your role in them, the invitations you send or accept, and the names of the API keys you generate.
• Notification content. The messages and questions your agents send — including titles, bodies, context, and answer options — and the answers you submit, along with who answered and when.
• Support messages. Information you send us when you contact support or submit the contact form.

Information collected automatically

• Device and push data. Your device's push notification token, device model, operating-system version, app version, and language, so notifications can reach your phone.
• Usage and diagnostics. Basic usage counters (such as notifications sent per project, used for plan limits), crash logs, and performance data used to keep delivery reliable.

API keys are stored only as hashes; we cannot recover the original key after it is generated, and revoking a key stops it working immediately.

How We Use Information

• To provide the core service: delivering agent notifications to project members and returning answers to the agent that asked.
• To keep a per-project history of messages, questions, and answers so your team can see what was decided.
• To operate projects, memberships, invitations, and API keys.
• To process purchases and manage plans and subscriptions.
• To respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
• To diagnose problems, enforce rate limits, improve reliability, and prevent abuse.

Notification Content

Notifex is a delivery channel: whatever your agent sends passes through our systems so it can be pushed to project members and stored in that project's history. Notification content is visible to the members of the project it was sent to. Do not send secrets, credentials, or sensitive personal data through agent notifications. We do not use your notification or answer content to train AI models.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, and any in-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. Payment processors handle your payment details; we do not receive your full payment-card information. Your plan and subscription status is shared with us so we can unlock the features you bought.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

• Other project members. The notifications, questions, and answers in a project are visible to that project's members, including your display name on the answers you submit.
• Service providers. Hosting, database, push-delivery, payment, analytics, and crash-reporting vendors that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Apple and Google. For sign-in and for push notification delivery, as described above.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Service.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Notifications and answers are retained as part of your project's history until the project or account is deleted. We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
• Leave a project, or delete your account, from within the app or by contacting us.
• Revoke any API key at any time from the web dashboard.
• Mute notifications per project, and manage notification permissions in your iPhone's Settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your billing settings or your Apple ID account settings.

Children's Privacy

Notifex is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed API keys and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app.
